IDCS The International Deaf Children’s Society (IDCS) is the international wing of The National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS), a UK registered charity no: 1016532 founded in 1944. IDCS was launched in October 2002 with the aim of improving the life chances of deaf children everywhere.
Collecting personal information Personal information covers any data that enables us to identify you as an individual such as your name and email address. When you supply information to us, we are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that the information you have provided is only used for the purpose for which it was requested, and to ensure that the data is kept securely.
We will never pass your details onto a third party without gaining prior consent. However we may need to disclose information about you, if required to do so by law.

Donations & financial information If you make an online credit card or direct debit donation to IDCS or send a cash donation in the post your personal details will be kept with the charity and we may well contact you in the future in connection with your donation.
When making an online donation to IDCS please note that this will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as a donation to NDCS. All monies donated to IDCS will be used expressly for furthering the aims and objectives of IDCS.
We may also need to share your information with our service providers, associated organisations and agents for these purposes. IDCS uses Baigent Ltd and Secure Trading Ltd to ensure your financial information is processed securely. IDCS cannot be held responsible for the privacy of personal information collected by these companies.

Access to your information As an individual you may request to see any information that IDCS holds about you. You must give written notification of the request, provide proof of identity and make a payment of £10. IDCS will then respond within 40 days.
Notification of changes to Privacy Policy Should any changes be made to this Privacy Policy, we will ensure a notice is posted on the website to alert users. This notice will be posted for up to one month after the changes are made.
