TSA Systems, Ltd. (www.tsasystems.com), a manufacturer of nuclear radiation measurement solutions, has seen an increase in demand or its products as a result of the heightened state of alert in the months following September 2001. TSA specializes in the design and manufacture of both pedestrian and vehicle portal monitors and hand-held detectors for the protection of Special Nuclear Materials (SNM).

The company has worked closely with the Los Alamos National Laboratory to advance SNM monitoring technology. TSA also produces a comprehensive family of bag, box, and barrel monitors, as well as custom designed systems for a variety of applications including security and waste management.

Hoping to keep operating costs from spiking due to increases in productivity, Vice-President Charlie Schnurr chose to automate TSA’s manual business processes using SPS.
